Description
Lean is a systematic approach to continually identify and eliminate wasteful activities. The result is improved profitability and increased competitiveness. This training and certification provides you with a practical understanding of the tools in the Lean toolbox and how each can be applied in your workplace to eliminate waste. You will learn to promote continual improvement by lowering the cost to produce products and deliver services. You will gain an understanding of the concepts of Lean, how to apply these concepts within your organization and explore the challenges and obstacles that you, as a change agent, may have to overcome as you implement Lean in your workplace.
As part of the program you will prepare an action plan for implementing the Lean concepts to a project. Upon completion of the program you will be certified as a Kent State Lean Practitioner.
