At KAVON Software Applications, Inc. John developed and distributed computer software programs that provided companies with the ability to gain control over their tool cribs and measuring instruments. "Crib Master" tracked all tooling used in a manufacturing type of process as to location and point of use. "Gage Master" kept track of the calibration history of all the measuring instruments used to verify product conformity. As a consultant at Planmetrics, a Chicago based management consulting firm, John helped public utility companies plan for rate cases through the development and use of computer based planning models that generated pro-forma financial statements based on market conditions. This greatly reduced the preparation time required by his clients to prepare the rate case needed to justify the requested change in the rates they charged customers.
