On October 2, 2002, a group of John J. McIntyre Sons, Inc. employees successfully completed the course, INTERNAL AUDITING: Mini-Audits? for Maximum Results. Tom Fazekas, from KAVON International, Inc., conducted the course.
During the course, the students were introduced to the concept of internal auditing, its importance to John J. McIntyre Sons, Inc. in obtaining ISO 17025 registration, and their role as auditors to monitor compliance. They also participated in a number of exercises that reinforced the concepts being taught.
John J. McIntyre Sons, Inc. was founded in 1925 and has been in continuous operation under the control of the McIntyre Family ever since. The fourth generation is presently working in the business. They sell, service, and rent scales, weighing systems and force measuring devices.
John J. McIntyre Sons, Inc. kept pace with the Weighting Industry , when in the early 1970?s there was a turn toward the use of electronic scales and weighing systems. Even today, in the age of the computer and Digital Weighing Systems, they still sell, service, and maintain parts for the old style Beam Balance and Dial type scales.
John J. McIntyre Sons, Inc. is seeking registration to the ISO 17025 quality standard.
