On May 11, 2001, a group of Empire Die Casting Co., Inc. employees successfully completed the course, CORRECTIVE/PREVENTIVE ACTIONS: Achieving Continual Improvement. The course was conducted by John Novak & Tony Franceschini, both from KAVON International, Inc. The course covered the concept of teams and the roles each member plays, the tools available to facilitate problem solving, and how to track the effectiveness of the solutions implemented.
Empire Die Casting Co., Inc. is a Cleveland-based, ISO 9002 certified company, founded in 1948 to serve the needs of die casting users in the Midwest. Their plants ship aluminum, zinc, and magnesium die-castings to over thirty states, Canada, Mexico, Europe, and Asia.
They offer complete project responsibility from die design through secondary machining, finishing and assembly. Secondary machining and finishing capabilities include shot blast, vibratory, and thermal deburring.
