On March 25, 2000, a group of Northern States Metals' employees successfully completed the course, INTERNAL AUDITING: Mini-Audits for Maximum Results. The course was conducted by John Novak and Jess Carroll, both from KAVON International, Inc.

Northern States Metals is a full service aluminum extrusion and extruded products company with locations in West Hartford, Connecticut, and Youngstown, Ohio. Northern States Metals serves the entire United States and also exports to countries worldwide.

Northern States Metals is currently pursuing registration to ISO 9002. The students were introduced to the concept of internal auditing and its importance in achieving ISO 9002 registration.
