Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Training and Certification
"Having not come from a Quality Management background, I was new to many of the programs and systems Six Sigma uses. John Novak walked me through the program step by step in a way that helped me to understand what I was doing and why. This made it easier to remember and less of a challenge to use and share with my colleagues. He is very prompt and pleasant on my emails should I have a question."

"My experience with KSU's LSS Green Belt Certification Program was very positive. Although I was reasonably familiar from work experience with some of the tools utilized within the Six Sigma Methodology, the program heightened my awareness of many tools that I had not used, and reinforced knowledge of those tools that I had used. John Novak did a great job of teaching, using "real life" scenarios to expound on teaching points, in addition to utilizing team oriented hands-on exercises to enhance the group's learning experience. Also Willie and Corianne, as well as other KSU Staff, did a wonderful job providing support to the group's learning needs. I'm looking forward to continued application of these tools in my career, and my eventual achievement of LSS Black Belt Training/Certification."

"During my two week class, I had Instructor John Novak. The entire course was developed as a power point presentation and was supplied to me in its entirety on a flash drive. The course was well thought out. I was able to follow along on my own computer due to the flash drive. It was obvious that the instructor had spent an enormous amount of time developing the presentation. The two week class was entirely interactive with all of the students. The instructor made the class interesting. It was obvious that he had exceptional course knowledge & work experience. There were many real life applications presented which made the course relevant to each of our individual work experiences. There were team building projects and a competition each week.
Time was spent teaching us the basics of the computer program “Minitab” which, is an industry standard for quality professionals. Students were left with a good sense of the requirements for their class project. Project submissions were reviewed and feed-back was provided in a timely manner.
Hilton Garden Inn of Twinsburg Ohio was a great venue for this learning experience. The conference rooms were quiet and of appropriate size for the class. Food, Snacks & beverages were all plentiful & tasty. They treated us all like kings.
Overall, I would rate instructor John Novak & this class an A plus!"

"The Kent State Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification classes were an incredible help to Aspire Energy. The program does more than give you tools and push you out the door. It alters your perception of every process you see, allowing you to understand waste and variation that leads to inefficiency. Maybe even more importantly, it helps you to understand the cultural challenges we each face in our organizations while trying to improve processes. It reminds you that change leads to anxiety for many people and emphasizes the importance of including team members and process owners to create a culture of constant improvement. John Novak was a fantastic instructor with a wealth of experience, and his real world examples really brought the program to life."
